Aim
Our general aim is to participate in the improvement of oral health needs management in Europe through actions on oral health professionals’ education, within a lifelong learning approach.
Favoring convergence and harmonization of the conditions and quality of oral health professionals’ education in Europe is a way to ensure that those professionals are able to provide good quality and pertinent health services to all.
The purpose of the project is first to assess and analyze the current true situation concerning education of oral health professionals. The objective is to gain a validated and research-grounded understanding of the realities of dental education within Europe.
The project also strives to bring together the stakeholder that are interested by oral health professionals’ education to arrive at an agreed and validated single understanding of the current situation of dental education and the entry into the profession and how this could be improved and harmonized to better serve the European public and agenda.
Then, based on these assessments, the project will identify educational priorities so that future graduating dentists skills and competencies align better with oral heath population needs. The project will allow definition of priorities for a strategic vision and will support changes for oral health professionals’ education within a 10 years perspective.
