- SO1: To provide a diagnosis of the current situation of dental education in Europe.
- SO2: To enable a shared understanding and a common vision of Oral Health Professionals' Education priorities for the future among all European stakeholders and policymakers.
- SO3: To define priorities for a strategic vision and support changes for oral health professionals’ education in 2030.
A synopsis of the current state of Oral Health professionals' Education in Europe will be derived from this literature review identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for dental education in the future (O2).
Then, in order to evaluate the current state of Oral Health professionals' Education in Europe, a research protocol will be written (O3). This will lead to survey implementation and initial analysis that will present the current state of Oral Health professionals' Education in Europe (O4).
The results will be submitted to an external consultation and this will allow to have a comprehensive report that will establish a final diagnosis on the current state of Oral Health professionals' Education in Europe. This report will be a consensus document for all stakeholders interested by Oral Health professionals' Education in Europe (O5).
Fact sheets will be accessible online providing relevant information to decision makers, core stakeholders, regulators, dentists, faculty, students, prospective students (O6). Another step will be to agree on a glossary of higher oral health professionals' education in Europe that will clearly define the terms used in the field of dental education (O7).
Then mapping of institutions providing oral health professionals' education will be structured (O8). A guide for the public about the current state of Oral Health professionals' Education in Europe will be published (O9) as well than an online CPD programs about the project method designated to stakeholders outside Europe will be conceptualized (O10).
A charter of educational priorities for the future of Oral Health professionals' Education in Europe that consider the way dental education could be renewed will be established. This consensus document will consider how to educate professionals able to effectively address public health challenges (O11).
An external analysis of a process for planning curriculum changes will be done. An experimental project currently growing within UCA will be used as a subject of analysis (O12).
This will allow the development of a toolkit for planning curriculum changes for oral health professionals' education in Europe, explaining the methodology for change (O13).
